Product Information
What is Violet®?
Violet is a daily iodine supplement that helps alleviate the most common symptoms of cyclic mastalgia and fibrocystic breast condition (FBC), including swelling, tenderness, aches and heaviness and promotes optimal breast health.
How is it different?
Is this different from other iodine (iodide) supplements currently available?
Yes it is different. Violet is created using a novel technology that combines a formulation of two forms of iodine: iodide and iodate. This unique, non-hormonal formulation interacts with the acidic pH environment of the stomach to form molecular iodine, which is then delivered to breast tissue, resulting in a reduction of menstrual-related breast discomfort. Until now, there has never been a supplement demonstrated to target breast tissue, making Violet the first iodine supplement to address the underlying cause of menstrual-related breast symptoms associated with fibrocystic breast condition.
Can I just adjust my diet to include more iodized salt instead?
Simply adding salt to the diet is not effective in alleviating the symptoms of fibrocystic breast condition. Iodized table salt does not contain the correct form of iodine. Additionally, increased sodium intake contributes to high blood pressure, which can lead to heart disease, stroke, heart failure, and kidney disease. Talk to your doctor about safe levels of salt in your diet.
Can I get an effective amount of iodine from a multivitamin instead?
Violet tablets are different from other iodine supplements, including multivitamins. Violet tablets are made with a unique formulation that blends two iodine ingredients to deliver molecular iodine. Most multivitamins contain 225 micrograms (or less) of iodide, whereas Violet tablets contain 3000 micrograms (3 mg) of iodine per tablet. This daily amount is effective at helping alleviate monthly breast discomfort associated with fibrocystic breast condition.
